This Week's Favorites

1. A NEW BOOK

This week, I started The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. This is a book I typically wouldn't choose for myself because the historical element reminds me too much of the books I used to read for school! But I heard great reviews of this title from friends + Goodreads, so I decided to challenge myself to explore outside of my typical genres. I love it so far. It moves much faster than I anticipated and I'm already taken with the main character,  Alice!

2. SONIC SOFT PRETZELS

Not enough people have soft pretzels as part of their Sonic order. I consider myself a Sonic pretzel evangelist. Just like Auntie Anne's but more accessible and I am here for that narrative!

3. BEST JEAN SHORTS EVER

Jean shorts are tough... too short and you look like your middle school self and too long you look like Kenny Chesney? I love these from Agolde. Granted, they're pricey, but I got mine off Nuuly then purchased so it was a better deal. Definitely give them a try if you're a Nuuly renter!

4. MEJURI CROISSANT RING

I have been eyeing this ring online for forever but my ring size can be iffy. So, when I saw there was a Mejuri store in LA, I had to go get one during my trip! The ring is super light and it's not "wear everyday" quality, but I thought it was a fun piece of accent jewelry. (Featured next to my PINK hibiscus margarita from Farmacy Knoxville!)

5. COLUMBIA FOOD & WINE FEST

After absolutely loving Charleston Food & Wine fest, I knew I needed to attend Columbia's fest! My roommate Celie and I dressed up in loose dresses and sneakers (and the complimentary wine glass necklaces) to eat + drink our way through the festival. My favorite drink was a matcha cocktail with Japanese vodka made by Amy Winland. Must try to replicate it soon!
